A prolonged job search can be a cause of concern for job seekers. I receive emails on occasions from individuals asking how they can get out of a rut or stay positive. Even with the support of family and friends and occasional breaks from the job search process; some career guide job seekers are on the verge of giving up. Likewise, this post provides additional advice and a compilation of previous articles that can help you persevere.

First you need to take a timeout and get your mind right. Next, determine your worst case scenario. Even if you lose everything; make sure you, your family, and/or significant other will have a place to stay and food to eat. Also develop a recovery plan that will allow you to comeback stronger and reach new career guide heights you never reached before.

Do not let adversity defeat you and get you down. Motivate yourself and acquire the resolve to overcome all of the obstacles you are currently facing. View your adversity not as a conqueror but as a foe you are going to defeat.

When I was kid and encountered difficult situations I could not solve immediately, I either cried or whined. My step-mother always told me to suck it up since I could not cry and whine my problems away. Then she would tell me to develop solutions, implement them, and make the necessary adjustments until I solved these problems. This may not be the best example, but this advice is golden.

Getting down on yourself due to a difficult job search is probably not going to result in your next opportunity. So look in the mirror, dig deep inside, and tell yourself you are going to make it happen! For additional assistance, I recommend you read the articles below.

I recommend one, for all. Talk to God. He is your creator and is able to make a way for you.

I have been unemployed for over a year. And actively searching for about 5 months. Sometimes I send up to 100 job adverts a day, and only so many rejections.

When I got really frustrated and dissappointed, I cried out to God in Jesus Name, poring out my heart to Him, and within 2 hours, He sent me someone who counseled and encouraged me, whom I have never known.

I still do not have a job yet, but I now have a better understanding through counselling, of why my job search has been failing, and also by coming across information about additional efforts I can make to find a job, such as this blog, I have an improved plan of action for my next major effort to find a job.

Finding a job is like a farmer growing crops. When it rains too much or there is a drought, the farmer cannot abandon the farm. We must pray to God for His divine direction, to show us where the problem is, to bring clarity to the difficulty, to bring courage to the weakness, and strength to chart the course to recovery.

Best Wishes in your Job search. May this search for the next job end very soon in Jesus Name. Amen.
