In today’s job market, a lot of advice exists. Several job seekers have told me that they are overwhelmed from this abundance of information. They also asked me for the one key strategy that job seekers can use to successfully conclude their job search. In my opinion, this secret is to persevere.
Job seekers must continue their job search regardless of the obstacles present until they achieve their desired outcome. The other option of becoming discouraged and dropping out, will not get the job done. Thus to persevere, job seekers must assess their current search and keep hope alive.

To assess your job search, break up your activity results into these categories:
Next determine how well you are performing in each of these categories and ranked them in order of strength or weakness relative to each other. Afterwards, acquire best practices for each category from job seekers who successfully concluded their search and career experts. Finally, implement these best practices, continue to monitor your progress, and continue this process until you accept a job offer.
To keep hope alive, you need to hang around individuals with a positive outlook on life regardless of the difficulties they may face. Instead of focusing on the difficulties associated with adversity, identify opportunities. Visit your local library and rent resources that provide strategies for overcoming discouragement and staying motivated. Finally, also remember to consistently participate in activities that make you smile and laugh.
