The debate continues whether you should routinely provide career guide job references in your resume; by inserting “references available on request” at the bottom of this document. When I am in doubt, I personally stay on the conventional side of any issue that is undecided. A resume protocol could include a resume reference list of three to five people in a resume career guide addendum.

You successfully concluded your career guide interviews and turned in a completed job application with references. Human resources of your potential employer told you that if you are an ideal candidate, the company will proceed with a background and reference check. As you patiently wait for an update, below are two career guide tactics you should use beforehand.
Before submitting your reference information, call your professional references to provide an update. Let them know that you are interviewing for a position and as a result they may receive a reference request form. Ask them if they can provide you with a great reference.
